Pentecost is a triangular lace shawl with a birch leaf center panel flanked by diamonds with nupps. It starts at the top with a garter stitch tab and is finished with a garter stitch edging.

The pattern assumes that you know how to cast on provisionally, pick up stitches, knit nupps, and read a chart.

A new version of the pattern was published in June 2020 with a new edging as well as other small changes. The shawl knitted from this version is mauve. If you want to make this shawl, be sure to choose the June 2020 file. If you prefer the previous edging on the red shawl, the earlier version remains available as well.
