i found that i actually prefer TOFUtsies knit at a smaller gauge than i used for these socks. i reknit a pair for myself using the pattern for the larger sock but using a 2.0mm needle (gauge 10 sts/inch). i ended up with a medium size sock and much better fabric. the problem is that i don’t know how many people really want to knit with such a fine gauge.

errata (7/11):
Pattern Stitch: Row 3: delete first “k1”

Leg: Knit next 6 (7) sts. PM to indicate new beginning of round and start of instep. Work 32 (35) sts in pattern. PM to indicate end of instep. K32 (37) sts. Work as established (pattern on instep, stockinette on heel flap) for 2 more rounds; ending on round 6 of pattern. Begin heel.
