This Fin Cone baby bonnet pattern will help you to make a bonnet exactly like the pictured one! The pattern is for newborn size, 0-3m, 3-6m, 6-12m and 12-24m.

beginner friendly, knit flat, with many, many photos.

You will need yarn, knitting needles, a tapestry needle or crochet hook to weave in the yarn ends, a stitch holder or a piece of scrap yarn and two stitch markers (optional).
Regarding the yarn and needle size – you really have to make a gauge swatch to find the right needle size to match the gauge! Otherwise the sizing will be way off!

I am not really giving any needle size recommendation since it will vary from yarn to yarn. You can use either long straight single pointed needles, or any circular needles.
You need to get the gauge to be 16st in 4inches (10cm).

this pattern looks best when the yarn is at least slightly fuzzy, but it will look good with smooth yarns too.

you can make a matching romper
