DS Chain cast-on, DS Chain bind-off and knit DS selvedge all produce very neat and attractive edges. Knitted in two colours they are even more decorative and ideal for Double knitting.

These Coasters were designed to demonstrate how Distitch can wrap around a piece in Double knitting. Also it is a small project – perfect for studying a new technique. After you’ve learned it, it’ll be easy to apply to any Double knitting projects.

You can see them in this video (time 1:50 - 2:20).

I recommend cotton or cotton mix yarns for easy washing. It is preferable to have two colours of the same yarn type. This project is ideal for using up leftovers!
