The pattern is available individually, or as part of the Ravellenics 2018 collection - (please decide if you want the ebook before you buy as I’m afraid I can’t issue refunds against the price of the ebook at a later stage).

I’m a “process knitter” (although I didn’t even realise there was such a category until I started chatting about knitting on Ravelry) - I want to make beautiful things, but it’s important to me that the process of making them is as relaxing as possible.

So this knit has features that I find make for a “perfect process” - making it an ideal knit for during the Ravellenics.

  • NO NEED TO SWATCH

you start with just a few stitches, which means the start is about the same size as any swatch would be, so I just start and if it’s not looking right I just restart and consider that was my swatch …

  • KNITTING WITH FRACTIONS/PERCENTAGES

this means you can use the same pattern for lots of different weights and it adjusts automatically.

  • KNITTING ON AUTOPILOT

In the main section all RS rows are the same, and all WS rows are the same, so it can be knitted on “autopilot”, making it a lovely relaxing process.

  • NO-FUSS SET-UP FOR THE BORDER

When it’s time to make the border, you don’t have to count any stitches - this is probably the single most important feature for me - because knitting on autopilot is no fun if you have to keep checking if you have the right number of stitches. ☻

The pattern is listed for Worsted weight, but DK and Aran weights work well too.
