Think of those single skeins of super soft and squishy yarn in your stash. You know which ones I mean. They have the perfect fiber content, yardage, and colour, but you could never afford a sweater’s worth, so you only buy one at a time and never quite know what to do with them (other than admiring them every now and then).

Enter Perm.
This cowl is the perfect single-skein project to showcast great yarns. A bit of lace, a bit of cables, and lots of texture. Height and circumference are adjustable to make use of as much yarn as possible. Perm looks like a thousand dollars at the price of just one skein.

Notes:

Finished measurements after blocking (circumference x height):

53 x 27 cm (21 x 10.5”)

The sample shows the cowl in colourway 131 Sandbank.

You will need approx. 1 skein of Malabrigo Arroyo. The pattern can easily be adapted to larger/smaller sizes.

Note: The PDF features written instructions with a chart. For those of you who don’t like charts, I also included a complete written-out transcription of the chart.
