Yarn: Shilasdair Luxury 4 Ply (4 ply/fingering weight; 40% angora, 40% Merino wool, 10% camel, 10% baby alpaca; 201 m / 220 yds per 50 g skein)
Shade: Fleece Cloud; 3 skeins

Gauge: 19 sts & 33 rows = 10 cm / 4” over chart A pattern after blocking
19 sts & 30 rows = 10 cm / 4” over garter stitch after blocking

Needles: 4 mm / US 6 circular needle 80 cm /32” length
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Notions: 1 stitch marker, 1 locking stitch marker

Notes: This shawl starts out like a sideways shawl but takes an unexpected twist right in the middle. After knitting a soothing amount of garter stitch, the second part is joined to the first by working a knitted-on edging while simultaneously increasing before ending with only a few stitches to cast off.
