Every man should have a pair of these shorts! Styled like boxer-briefs and crafted of softest wool, these are the ultimate in knitterly man-love!

Yarn: any soft and bouncy worsted weight yarn is appropriate.

Sizes:
Small (Medium, Large, X-Large) to fit waist measurements of 36” (40”, 44”, 48”).
Choose a size based on the desired waist measurement, which can be finely adjusted with the waistband elastic. The shorts are designed with approximately 5 inches of negative ease, which is necessary for the best fit.

Yardage:
2 (2, 3, 3) skeins, at approximately 270 yards/skein

Difficulty Level: Intermediate

Techniques: knitting in the round, grafting, German short rows, various increases

This pattern assumes that the knitter is capable of “reading” the work in progress sufficient to be able to continue a pattern. Also, the ability to perform special techniques, such as grafting, are assumed. If you find a technique challenging, I suggest looking for tutorials on YouTube, which is how I learned to do them.
