This oversized, horizontal-knit shawl embodies what Persian architecture has in abundance--high arches, columns, and recesses reflected in the lace pattern. The blue is referred to as “Persian blue,” a color that is found in Persian pottery, mosques, and tiles.

40” circular needle is used to accommodate large number of sts.

Errata: In Chart B, the ks2kp at the end of rows 1 & 3 should be ssk.
In Chart C, the last yo in row 1 should be a k.

The following note about working from the charts was left out of the book:

“The stitches as charted are worked to the last wrapped stitch, the wrap is knit together with the stitch it wraps, W&T the next st.”
