Inspired by a tiled ceiling in the ancient Persian city of Isfahan, this variation on Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Pi Shawl evokes the swirls and arabesques of 17th-century Persian art.

Worked in a cobweb weight yarn, the center star spreads gradually outward; the stacked architectural motifs combine to produce an elegant wrap which conjures the opulence and splendor of a bygone age.
