This is a very simple and quick to knit in a mixture of stocking (stockinette) stitch and garter stitch. Very similar to the baby blanket in design, the cushion features a prominent initial in the center created reversed out of the stocking (stockinette) stitch. Charts for other initials are given at the back of the book. This cushion is knitted in a chunky cotton blend that is both light and soft. The simple garter stitch edging creates a smart finishing touch, as does the simple garter stitch panel on the back opening.

This little cushion makes a nice personal touch for the baby either in the nursery or for the stroller. The simple garter stitch band creates a firm and decorative edge for the center back opening of the cushion and requires no fastening.
