Every woman needs a lightweight little cropped layering cardigan as part of her wardrobe. No other sweater is as versatile. Depending on where you live, it can be worn year-round, over linen dresses in air-conditioned offices, under oversized jackets in winter, and even in bed when you want to cover up your shoulders for some cozy reading. Here I offer up a version with long, slim sleeves that can be pushed up to three-quarter length, a front that than can be closed if desired, and just enough patterning to keep things from getting boring. Feel free to substitute another simple stitch pattern of your choice to make it your own.
Yarn quantities are approximate; required yardage will vary depending on desired finished length. Although the name of the yarn used in the sample suggests that it is a “DK” weight, I found it closer to a sport weight.
