This is Perty the Penguin ready for winter in his aviator hat and warm wooly boots. He measures 12 inches/30cms if worked in Aran/Worsted Weight yarn or 10 inches/25cms if worked in Double Knit/Light Worsted Weight yarn (needle sizes for both weights included in directions).

There is a small amount of intarsia/colour work involved but I have written the pattern line by line to make it easy for the knitter to tick off the rows.

Boots, legs and body are knitted in one piece, flat, head, tail, wings and hat are knitted separately, again flat. I have included a detailed step by step assembly guide to help you create a perfect Perty Penguin which is full of photos, hints and tips.
