I designed this pattern while reading Seneca’s Phaedra and Euripides’ Hippolytus. I found each author’s portrayal of Phaedra to be the complete inverse of the other, realizing that, the more you delve into the character, the less black-and-white she becomes.

That being said, this pattern can be worked either in lace weight or fingering weight. Obviously the fingering weight version will be more substantial. I prefer the lighter version.
