I’ve been wearing these mitts for a couple weeks now, they’ve been tossed around in my bag, generally abused, and they’re still looking great. A little detail I put into the pattern that made them so much easier for me was knitting a few rows of garter stitch before joining it in the round – that made it easier to divide onto double pointed needles and to keep the work from twisting. You have to weave in the tails anyway, so may as well use them to sew a little 1/4-inch seam while you’re at it.
