I’m a great fan of Elizabeth Zimmerman and I love her Pi shawls, such a simple concept but they take an age to knit with so many stitches and I hate circular needles so I wanted something that would knit up a bit quicker and after a bit of research I found a way of knitting a semi-circular shawl which I adapted to suit me and this is the result. I used a DK weight yarn although this pattern can be adapted to suit any yarn or needle size you like as tension is unimportant and the garment will be fully blocked after completion.

I’ve worn this many time in the last year and always people have commented or asked me where I bought it. Time to make another methinks!

My thanks also goes to Christine from the IOW who test knit the pattern for me.

There is a Pi in the Sky II (when I get round to publishing it!)
