The yarn used in this pattern is a bulky weight cotton blend ribbon yarn, knit at a tighter than normal gauge for this design. Substituting another yarn will definitely require knitting a gauge swatch.

Description from the magazine: Create a square-neck-raglan by letting the neckline follow the raglan lines. We chose to accent the neckband joins and side waistband with contrasting buttons for a fresh and fun look.
