Pieces of Eight
Do you see stars or octagons? You might think that is a pointless question so try asking a few other people. You may be surprised by their answers.
The afghan in the photos was made with Aran weight yarns though it can be knitted using any yarn and needles. You do not have to work to a particular gauge. The yarn chosen will change the finished size.
This is not a conventional knitting pattern. If you can knit garter stitch you can make this. A colouring sheet is included so that you can try out your own colourways before you begin.
The octagons are knitted separately and joined later so this is a very portable project.
Buy the pattern using the link at the top of this page.
