designed this bandanna cowl to reflect the well known Pierce Field park in Grandview Heights that is across the way from my store Yarn it & Haberdashery. I wanted it to reflect the unique triangular shape of the park and mimic the fencing that goes around the park.

A few notes about this pattern: enjoy it and don’t get too hung up if you end up a little off with slip amounts or stitches when you come to round connection. There is a little section where you can correct yourself before you start the circular knitting section. I’ve also divided the pattern into rows of four for the most part since each slipped stitch is a 4 row part before it is knit back into the work.

There is also a unique slip stitch that occurs pull out from the center that can sometimes be hard to describe it is as follows:
-Slip 2nd stitch in front and knit 1 st stitch to back. Essentially it is a cable 1 forward without knitting the slip stitch
-Knit 2nd stitch from back and slip 1st stitch in front. Essentially a cable 1 back without knitting the slip stitch

Also I do not give you directions to slip purl or knit wise. I leave that freedom up to the knitter to decide if they want a twisted slip stitch or not. My only suggestion is to stay consistent with both sides of the slip however you decide to knit it in.
