This pillow cover plays on the yin and yang of the earth and metal elements. A pillow is of course soft, while metal is the opposite. So how do you bring that mental sharpness, that streamlined thought that metal represents, to something as gentle and comforting as a pillow…and perhaps more importantly, why would you?

The how is simple enough. The metallic sheen and inflexibility of the linen yarn morphs from a circle into a square, marrying the two shapes that represent earth and metal. As for the why—bringing together the qualities of both of these elements harmonizes your environment, emphasizing each of their positive qualities while tempering the negative. Really, balancing the elements is what feng shui is all about.
