Pine Forest Baby Blanket
This baby blanket is based on the gull lace stitch used in the famous Baby Sweater on Two Needles aka ‘February Sweater’ from Elizabeth Zimmermann’s ‘Knitter’s Almanac’.
Any yarn and gauge can be used; the size can easily be altered to fit by changing the number of repeats of the pattern. I would, however, recommend a machine washable yarn as a baby blanket could be soiled at times.
June ‘11 update: Now also available in Spanish. Thanks a lot to Carlynx for the translation!
July ‘11 update: Added a Norwegian version.
NB: The pattern repeat is 7 sts x 4 rows, i.e. rows 2 and 4 should be purled. The border stitches should be knitted on every row.
