I am hoping to get this test-knit soon. If you knit this and find any problems please let me know!

This was designed using Wendy Happy yarn but will work with a similar yardage of any sock-weight/fingering yarn. I can see that it would also work with a different yarn weight and so this is one of the listed variations.

Knit in the round, from the ends in towards the middle and then the two halves are grafted together. That way both ends have the scalloped effect of the cast on edge.

I like this stitch pattern from the right side because I think that it looks like lace pine trees growing on garter stitch hills but am not at all keen on the wrong side of the stitch pattern and so I decided to design a scarf using this stitch pattern but knit in the round and with closed ends so that the wrong side of the stitch pattern is never seen.

The pattern/design can be varied to make a wider scarf or stole and can be knit with stocking stitch / stockinette sections to give the stitch pattern a different feel.

By all means make changes to this design for your own use but please do not sell items that you knit based upon it.
