This light-as-air poncho uses a vintage pineapple crochet lace design to make two rectangular panels. The panels are then edged in two additional vintage techniques: filet crochet and picot shell stitch. The resulting piece is magically modern and easy to wear.

Difficulty Easy

Finished Size 25 (28, 31)” wide to fit 36 (42, 48)” bust circumference. Sample shown measures 25”, modeled with 32” bust.

Yarn Willow Yarns Veil (100% Egyptian Giza mercerized cotton; 306 yd/1.75 oz): #0001 chiffon, 6 (7, 8) balls.

Hook Size D/3 (3.25 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions Yarn needle; st markers.

Gauge 42 sts (3 patt reps) = 4.5” wide and 16 rows = 3.75”.
