This is the pineapple lace design I adapted for a glass holder. I made a similar pattern almost a decade ago, this pattern is better and easier to understand with a photo chart. Finished size is also taller in height.

I used our local size 8 cotton thread and 1.75mm hook. One ball of thread will make 3 glass holders.

Finished size can be adjusted by changing weight of thread and size of hook.
