Pine Cliff Shawl was inspired by the pine trees on top of the cliffs by the beaches here where I live, on the south coast of Portugal, in the Algarve region.

The design is composed by a pine-cones edge with diamonds on top.
Constructed from bottom-up the shawl was designed to be purled on both sides for the garter stitch. It is possible to knit it as long as you purl the ssk, cdd, k2tog and the diamond, on the wrong side, to maintain the knitted stitch look. This requires some attention but it was done by a tester.

The yarn was beautifully hand dyed by my friend São Pereira. You can see her yarns here Cocktail de Cores and here on Facebook..
