I created Pink Pig in honor of our newly adopted dog. “Pink Piggie” is one of his many nicknames. Also, to pay homage to Susan Conant’s dog lover’s mysteries in which one of the canine characters has a favorite toy called “Pink Piggie”. And DH, DD and I were all born in the Year of the Pig, if you follow Chinese astrology.
