Pippi is a cabled scarf that is knit in one piece with a super bulky yarn. Simple cables create a braid, while increases and decreases shape the work into a scarf/stole that can be worn several ways. Throw it around your neck for a scarf, tie the ends together for a collar, or loop it around twice and tie it up for a cozy cowl. This scarf knits up quickly, which makes for a great last-minute gift!

If using a super bulky weight yarn, approximately 106 yards are needed. If holding two strands of bulky weight together, approximately 106-137 yards are needed of each yarn.

Size 7 needles

Gauge: 20 stitches and 24 rows = 4x4 inches

When casting on, leave a 30 inch tail.

Complete Pippi as directed in original pattern.

Leave a 30 inch tail after binding off last stitch.

To complete ties for the necklace:

Cut 60 inch strand. Feed strand through the last stitch at end of work until it’s halfway through, to create 3 strands. Braid those strands together and tie off, leaving 2 inches of loose ends. Repeat for other end of work.
