Pips & Purls is a dice-rolling adventure pattern based on traditional Guernsey stitches. Using only knits and purls, the roll of the dice determines which pattern you will knit for the seven individual sections. The end result is a cozy cowl that will help safeguard you from hibernating WIPS, second sock syndrome, or fear of frogging!

  • Instructions are included for a one loop (small) or two loop (large) cowl.
  • This pattern is charted only. Since the only two stitches used are knits and purls, this would make a great first project to learn how to knit from charts.
  • Additional tool required is a dice.

Originally designed for the Blue Moon Fiber Arts Rockin’ Sock Club May 2018.
