My own pirate beanie design: Skulls and bones all around this vertical striped black and white beanie.
It has a merry-go-round like top with tiny skulls and bones on it.
The corrugated ribbing fits the stripes.

It will fit heads up to 56 cm head circumreference and can easily be adjusted by leaving out or adding a chart repeat.
You can also knit a long beanie from it by adding additional rows of the skull chart.

It’s completely knit from 4-ply sock yarn (Buttinette söckli).
