Pitaya is worked from the bottom up in one piece and then fronts and back are split and worked separately. Stitches are picked up around armhole and sleeves are worked in the round down to the cuff. Finally, neck, buttonhole, and button bands are worked in k1, p1 ribbing.

Note: Leaf lace pattern is both charted and written.

• Intended to have 1 to 2 inches of positive ease (choose a finished bust size 1 to 2 inches larger than your actual bust size).

Fingering weight wool/nylon blend yarn.
950 (1050, 1100, 1200) (1300, 1400, 1500) (1600, 1650, 1750) yards

Sample knit in size 36” with Hazel Knits Artisan Sock; 90% merino, 10% nylon; 400 yards in 120 grams (3 skeins)

Note about yarn: Any wool or wool blend yarn that will give you gauge in stockinette is good. This is probably a heavy fingering or sport weight. Hazel Knits Artisan has ~335 yards in 100g but is listed as fingering weight

Gauge
22 stitches and 28 rows on needle size US5 (3.75mm) in stockinette is 4” (10cm) knit flat and in the round

Needle Size
• Size US5 (3.75mm) double point needles for sleeves (worked in the round) or circular needle if doing magic loop
• Size US5 (3.75mm) 32” (40” for larger sizes) circular needle for body (worked flat)
• Size US4 (3.5mm) 24” circular needle for buttonband
