This fancy hat is the companion piece to the Piuma mitts.

The plumage wraps around the head creating a fashionable timeless cloche.

While I knit this in one color I think it would also look smashing with a contrasting band.

The band is knit first and stitches are picked up for both the brim and crown. The brim features a feminine turned picot hem and the crown a simple but graceful swirl of decreases.
