Errata: Round 9, portion in brackets should read: “dc
in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, FPdc around next 3 FPdc,
dc in next 5 sts, FPdc around next 3 FPdc”. I will send out an update as soon as I can get the change made.

The raised floral design in this lightweight beret reminds me of the embossed Italianvwaffle cookies of the same name. Working cables in the round from the top down is one of my favorite techniques, since I can always see the “right side” as I work the design. Although this pattern requires more focus and a few more stitches due to the
lace weight yarn, the stunning results are worth your time.
