After celebrating the news that I would be expecting a daughter for our family, I began to search for a knitting pattern to serve as a coming home outfit for her from the hospital. Countless daydreams later, I decided I wanted a set of pajamas with a zipper along the center and something decorative on the front. Weeks of pattern searching proved fruitless, so I bravely sought to design my own. This outfit sports a zipper running from heel to neck, cables on the front, and a snapping cover for the head of the zipper. As a knitter, I loathe sewing and prefer projects to be as seamless as possible, so the construction of this garment is toe up, with Kitchener Stitch used as much as possible to avoid sewing pieces together.
