Placeholder is a bracelet that doubles as a bookmark. The pattern is easy to memorize and the size is easy to adjust.

Yarn: You will need approximately 80 yards of a fingering-weight or lighter yarn for best results.

Supplies:

  • US size 5 needles
  • tapestry needle
  • one 1” button

Gauge isn’t terribly important for this.

Sizing: The finished bracelet should wrap around your wrist twice, or fit neatly once around the average trade paperback. The bracelet pictured is approximately 2” wide and 15” long. Adjust to suit your needs.

Placeholder is the pattern for Week Twelve of Pattern a Week at Running Jack Knits.
