Red Heart Pooling yarn creates the design all by itself. Premier also makes a yarn that forms a plaid design and it may be substituted. This pattern is based on the Blanket Basics #1: stockinette blankets pattern but is sized specifically to take advantage of these self-patterning yarns. The blanket is knitted in one carefully sized rectangle to get the best look
from the yarn, then a wide double stockinette border in a solid color is added. 1 skein of Red Heart Pooling plus 1 of a solid color yarn in the same weight are needed. This pattern is intended for bulky machines. No ribber or patterning ability is needed so hobby machines may be used.
