The cowl is designed to be oversized and chunky but you can easily adapt the pattern to suit your preferred style and yarn (instruction given). It is made in the round by first crocheting a horizontally striped base and then surface crocheting vertical stripes over the top.

Gauge is not critical for this pattern - just make sure that your foundation chain is long enough to go over your head or around your neck as many times as you would like before you start the first round.

The example pictured uses 125m of grey yarn and 40m of each of the other 3 colours (245m total).

This is a super easy and fast project - you only need to know sc, chain and sl-st.
