The finished size of this cozy was 2.25 inches in width, and long enough to go around the mug and overlap 2 inches at the end (about 14 inches).

To determine the size to make yours, measure the circumference of your mug, and the width between the handle.

I used about 1/2 a skien of yarn, and a set of DPN’s, just because they were easier to work with in the shorter length, and I could use them instead of a cable needle.
