The Planina Wrap was inspired by the mountains that surround my home, nestled in a little valley outside of Melbourne, Australia.
This wrap was originally designed to be made using a yarn Advent Calendar, however you can make the Planina wrap using any yarn you like. It is an excellent stash busting pattern. Perhaps you have lots of little leftover bundles of precious yarn from much loved past projects? Maybe you have 2 or 3 extra special skeins of hand dyed sock yarn that you have been hanging onto, waiting for the perfect pattern to come along? Maybe you have lots of mini’s from swaps with other knitters around the world? Well the Planina Wrap is the perfect pattern to use them up!
Even though this pattern is listed as a 4 ply/fingering weight/sock yarn pattern, it really can be made using any weight yarn, as long as all the yarns you use in your wrap are of a relatively similar weight to each other.
This really is a true stash busting pattern, you can knit until you run out of yarn, so why not wrap yourself in a rainbow of busted stash? :-)
The Nalya Wrap is a crochet version of the Planina Wrap :-)
