I needed (not wanted!) an easy project for my vacation to Playa del Carmen. I developed this pattern to show off the grey and blue striping in a new ball of Amitola by Louise Harding. I wanted the stripes on a bias and I wanted an elongated triangle.

I spent many contented hours knitting this on the beach. The garter stich rows are reminiscent of the raked sand and the colours and undulating edge remind me of other shores I have visited and loved. This scarf/wrap reminds me of the ‘Playa’.

Proceeds from the sale of this pattern will be forwarded as a general donation to the Vancouver Marine Science Centre.
