Crochet some cuddles that will weave their charm, keeping a little one peaceful and calm. The lines on the blanket aren’t all they seem when baby’s wrapped safely deep in a dream.

The Playpen Blanket is made using a braided double crochet stitch (BDC) which works very well in two or more colors because the contrast shows off the slanting stitches to their best. It is a single row pattern repeat, producing a gentle texture. The pattern uses alternate striped and plain color blocks. For the most part the yarn is carried up the side of the blanket. To begin with you will work the first rows as directed for each size in your MC before starting to work on your alternate striped and plain panels. You will finish off the main body of your blanket with rows of the MC where indicated on the sequence charts below.
