I have a long standing love affair with the linen stitch. I discovered it at a time in my knitting life where I was frustrated with stockinette because I couldn’t get it to actually lay flat. One of my ancient crafting encyclopedias described the linen stitch as “resembling woven cloth”. It does just that. The orderliness of the pleated ruffle really stands out because the yarn has soo much going on. This project is reversible, wear it however you want!

The sample took 1.5 skeins of KPPPM, but could easily be made larger if desired. It is deceptively simple, knit from the bottom up, ruffle picked up and knit around, and increasing with kbf/pfb.
