The Plum Blossoms Shawl is a half hexagon shaped lace shawl, featuring a flower border. It is worked from the center out and the size is completely adjustable depending on your preferences and yarn quantities.

Level: Intermediate
The pattern features an easy repeat, but the border uses a few special stitches. There is a detailed picture tutorial.

Size:
Adjustable. Pictured shawl is approximately 50” wide and 19” deep after blocking (42” wide and 17” deep before blocking) and used 480 yds (100g) of fingering weight yarn. The shawl can be made any size by working the pattern repeat until the shawl reaches desired size before continuing with the border.

Information is also included to add a fourth triangle to the shawl.

The pattern is written in English using US crochet terms. The PDF download includes:

  • The complete pattern for the shawl
  • Descriptions of all special stitches
  • A picture tutorial with 28 pictures detailing every row and all special stitches
  • A list of materials
  • A list of abbreviations Two pdfs are included: a printer friendly pattern and a longer tutorial.

I made the pictured shawl with Jazz Handz Fusion Fiber yarn in Sugar Plums and an F (3.75 mm) crochet hook.
