This pattern is perfect for yarn advents, mini skein sets, left overs or full skeins of 4ply/sock/fingering weight yarn. As an alternative to the blanket, combine as many squares as you wish to make a scarf, shawl or blanket. Each square used approx 18g. Squares can be made larger if preferred (more yarn needed). Sample is shown in the Botanical Yarn Advent Calendar 2022. Use either double pointed needles or magic loop.

Dk yarn can also be used. One square measures 19.5g.

Materials:
4ply/fingering weight yarn
(75% superwash merino/25% nylon; 85m/93 yds per 20g skein) x 24 skeins OR 2040m/2231yds in total
3.75mm (UK 9/US 5) circular needles (80cm/32in long for magic loop) OR set of double pointed needles
3.75mm crochet hook (optional - for joining the squares)

Dk yarn (100% superwash merino; 45m/49 yds per 20g skein) x 24 skeins OR 1080m/1176yds in total
4.5mm (UK 7/US 7) circular needles (80cm/32in long for magic loop) OR set of double pointed needles
4.5mm crochet hook (optional - for joining the squares)
