You could use this pattern to knit a straightforward garter stitch semi-circle, or join two of them together to make a circle.

They are shown, in the photos, as rainbow stripes because we had been looking at other ‘rainbows’ and what you see when you reflect them in a cylindrical mirror.

The two pieces are exactly alike but with the colours reversed. They give surprisingly similar results when you look at them in the mirror.

Very small amounts of yarn are needed. The biggest stripe uses approximately 9 metres/yards.
