Straight knitting needles, size 10 (6.00 mm) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE

2 St markers

Cowl is begun with a center square. Sts are then picked up along side edges of center square and worked out, forming a second smaller square on right edge (as it faces you) and St st back section on left edge.
