This pot holder or trivet is fun to make and looks great! With 2 layers, the pot holder or trivet is double thick, making it safe to use on any counter or table (and safer for your fingers, if used as a pot holder in the oven). Using any 2 contrasting solid colors of worsted weight cotton yarn, you’ll have this pot holder done in no time! These pot holders made great gifts, too!

The pot holder is made in the Polish Stars crochet technique. The front piece is made with Polish Stars and the back piece is made with stripes for added thickness and safety.

The pattern includes complete written instructions for the front, back, edgings and weaving (to form the stars), as well as close up photos, a symbol crochet chart for the front piece and a weaving chart to form the stars.
