This pattern is one of the three patterns available from The Cornish Gansey Company Ebook

Polperro Seeds and Bars is possibly the favourite motif sported on Ganseys of South East Cornwall. It can also be found on Ganseys in Whitby and Staithes and was probably shared by the Herring Girls as they followed the fleet on their way down from the Scottish Isles sporting their own knitting and collection of patterns. This simple pattern is ideal for those new to knitting and also to Gansey knitting.

The booklet is a photo guide with step by step instructions for those new to gansey knitting and takes you through every part from the welt to the faux seam detail, gusset, shoulder straps and more. There are clear instructions about how to alter your sweater if you don’t fit the standard sizes too.

There are 27 different shades of Frangipani yarn to choose from so you don’t have to choose Dark Navy. Do hop over to my website for full details plus a shop full of needles, notions and other books and dvds for gansey lovers at www.thecornishganseycompany.co.uk
