A fun, whimsical hat that fits both toddlers and children. The ribbing at the base of the hat allows for a wide range of fits without adjusting the number of stitches. Any worsted weight yarn will work, however, I have found yarns that have “color depth” due to being plied with multiple colors, as in Cascade 220 Superwash Quatro, or heathered yarns will work very nice with a contrasting “flat” yarn of a single color. Working with two colors, you would need about 100 yards of each color.
