This shawl is knit from the center top down to the lace edging. It will begin with very few stitches. The stitch count will increase as you knit outwards toward to ruffled edge.

Getting exact gauge is not important for this pattern.

You will need a circular needle at least 80cm (32”) long to accomodate the number of stitches once you reach the edging.

Pomaceous means “apple-like”. The randomness of falling apple blossoms is bordered with a deep layer of flower petals. The ruffled edging reminds me of a soft spring breeze teasing the petals to life.
