PONCHO SKIRT, in sprightly stripes, is a jaunty addition to any wardrobe of smart casuals. This one is crocheted in two pieces, starting from the waist, so that you can go to the length you like the most. (Below the knee is smartest, we say.)

STRIPED skirt is worked in two pieces in rows of double crochet and trebles between spaces. Peaked hemline comes by increasing at centre of front and back.

Materials: Skirt - 13 balls main color, 3 balls 1st con-
trast, 8 (9) balls 2nd contrast, 7 balls 3rd contrast Patons Totem; No. 8 (4mm.) Disc crochet hook; length of round elastic; 6in. Lightning zip-fastener (Gold Pack).

Measurements: Skirt-To fit 34 (36) in. hips; waist, 24
(26) in.; length (at side edge), 26in.

Tension: 14 sts. to 3in. and 9 patt, rows to 2½in. over
